Mam Tor View

From Glossop in the northwestern district to Holmfirth and Penistone in the northeastern region down to Matlock, Ashbourne and Macclesield in the southern regions we have the Peak District covered. We have private group day tour routes across the national park, with three different challenge ratings, easy, intermediate and challenging so we have something for everyone.

Our routes are loops around picturesque villages, through the glorious landscape that the Peak District has become famed for while staying on quiet country lanes and traffic free trails. We provide all the bikes and equipment needed as well as snacks to keep you going, and transport to and from your accommodation can be arranged. However, our routes pass through so many Peak towns and villages, that it is most likely we can start our loop outside your hotel or B&B. Just let us know where you want to start from and how much cycling you want to do and we will come back to you with a route to fit your needs.

The Peak District, being only 30- 40 mins from Manchester by train, and less from Sheffield, Derby and Stoke, it's a perfect day out with your friends, and as our loop tours can start directly from the train station making all the more convenient for you.

As it is the Peak District, there are going to be one or two hills involved, the Peaks don't really do flat. However, we can offer some out and back day tours on some of the magnificent trails around the peaks, these normally follow the tracks of disused railway lines such as the Monsal Trail and the High Peak Trail. Apart from these, expect some uphills and downhills, but we will advise you on the extent of the hills on your prefered route before booking.

For bookings and availability, please contact our office using the above details, either by phone or email.

Winter Cycling in the Peak District - Part 2

Leisurely

Our Leisurely tours are up to 15 miles which will take approximately three hours including a lunch break. An example of our Leisurely Tours is our Staffordshire Moors 12.5 mile loop tour around Warslow, Hulme's End, Sheen, Longnor and Newtown. It is an undulating ride around the Manifold Valley, with a short climb or two interrupting the upland pastures and moorlands. Overall a very pleasant ride around the area where the White Peak meets the Dark Peak, and the area where the television series Peak Practice was filmed.
