Take a short break on this relaxing two day Peak District cycling holiday in the White Peak. Following the two of the most famous and best kept trails in the Peak District, the High Peak Trail and Tissington Trail, it is a tour which is almost entirely traffic free. The High Peak Trail, once an old railway line and now a greenway for cycling and walking, takes us from Wirksworth into the Derbyshire Dales and some stunning countryside with and dramatic views of the surrounding hills. Near where the two trails meet, we leave the High Peak Trail, and follow Tagg Lane - a local road, into the handsome old limestone village of Monyash.
The second day cycling in the Peak District we follow the Tissington trail, which follow the Buxton - Ashbourne railway line, through, once more, the beautiful Derbyshire Dales. The route goes past some stunning scenery, including the picturesque village of Tissington with its grand Hall, well worth a visit if you're lucky enough to be passing on an open day. You finish your two day Peak District cycling holiday in Ashbourne, a market town full of historic buildings and fine architecture, where we take you back to the start point or we can book you into a hotel for an extra night on your cycling holiday.
