Westmorland Way's 95 Mile Walk
The Westmorland Way is a 95 mile from Appleby-in-Westmorland through the Lake District and Arnside and Silverdale AONB, finishing in Arnside village on Morecambe Bay – village of the famous Arnside Tidal Bore.
This is a walk exclusively through the the old county of Westmorland, stretching in a near horseshoe route from the Pennine alongroman roads, forts, castles, abbeys and churches - Worsworth and Wainright country - to Westmorland's only port town of Arnside. The walk takes in the shores of Ullswater and Windermere, the banks of the rivers Kent and Eden, and the highest point of 2000ft is traveresed on the walk between Patterdale and Grasmere

This tour includes a night in Appleby the night before the tour starts and a night in Arnside at the end of the tour. Please enquire for parking information in Appleby.For people wishing to park in Arnside, we can arrange your first night in Arnside followed by transport to Appleby on the morning the tour starts, saving you from having to travel back to Appleby after the tour, please enquire.
All our walks are designed to be completed in a certain number of days, but we can adapt and work with you to organise the walk to suit you needs.
